Renewal of vows

Traditionally the renewal of vows were not often done but nowdays these ceremonies have become something that couples want to do to remind themselves of what they have that has kept them together and to show what love they still have for one another.

Renewal of vows ceremonies can be done anywhere where the couple wish. Often they have them at home with close family and friends or back at where they got married or at a favourite place such as where they met, where they first proposed or where they have their happiest memories.

The ceremony can also coincide with a special family occasion  such as a wedding anniversary or birthday and also often includes the other members of the original wedding party if they can do that. It can also be done as a surprise when family are gathered together like at Xmas or a special occasion.

The ceremony is a special occasion that celebrates the ongoing love and commitment that the couple have and also celebrates the life they have had together taking into account all of the very special times as well as the times when it was not easy but they gave that committment and worked through what they had to and did it together. It also acknowledges the commitment of the ongoing years ahead just the same as they gave that same committment on their original Wedding Day.

I come and meet with you and put together a ceremony with you. In the ceremony there will be the joys and reflections and would also include some of the original parts of your wedding Ceremony if you have them available.

You can have a complete wedding type ceremony with everything including music and sign a Renewal of Vows certificate  with witnesses or just have a simple ceremony surrounded by close family and friends at a special place. The choice is yours. It could also include a slide show of those years together while the ceremony is conducted

It can also include things such as a special poem written for the couple, something done as part of a family tradition by ther children or a close family member , the giving of a special gift ( bracelet or family jewellery or family keepsake) or the cutting of a cake.

My part is writing something appropriate and including a blessing and officiating that for you. I will also give you a certificate marking the occasion

I am happy to do a ceremony at any time that suits.
